Angela Gregory, known as the "doyenne of Louisiana sculpture," became nationally and internationally recognized in the twentieth century in the field predominantly dominated by men. The West Baton Rouge Museum is presenting the complex legacy of her life and artwork in a new three-year gallery display titled Angela Gregory: Doyenne of Louisiana Sculpture, which will include pieces amassed by the museum over the course of decades alongside fifteen of Gregory's sculptures that were recently donated by her estate. westbatonrougemuseum.org.
