In celebration of the recent designation of Port Allen as a Louisiana Cultural District, the West Baton Rouge Museum will open its new exhibition, Artists of West Baton Rouge, to cast a spotlight on the many artists who represent the region. Many of the works—which range from photography to painting to sculpture—were inspired by the local environment of this quaint river suburb.
The museum will also host a preview party with refreshments and live music on January 16 from 5 pm to 7 pm, where the public can come sneak a peek at the exhibit and visit with the artists featured in the show. Free. westbatonrougemuseum.org.
