The name of the school may not be familiar to you, but you've surely seen the iconic images of six-year-old Ruby Bridges being escorted into it by Federal Marshalls in 1960. Martha Graham Viator, Ph.D. will give a virtual talk on the new publication that sheds light on stories of school desegregation in New Orleans as well as the ways that Hurricane Katrina had an impact on public education. 6 pm.
