For every vivid book that challenges the way we think and feel, there's a mob out there trying to get it banned (or even burned). Join the Ascension Parish Library in celebrating those inflammatory books, including Alice in Wonderland, The Golden Compass, and the wicked wizarding world of Harry Potter. 

To add to the fun, you can grab your favorite controversial book at any APL location, take a mug shot, and earn a Banned Book Week button. Banned Books Week proper is September 23—29, but APL is celebrating all month long. myapl.org.
