West Baton Rouge Museum 845 North Jefferson Avenue, Port Allen, Louisiana 70767
West Baton Rouge Museum has secured skilled artisan Terry Landry for a new series of new woodworking workshops this fall inside the museum’s barn. Advanced, paid reservations are required due to class size limits.
Basic Woodwork 1: Build a Foot Stool will take place over two sessions (September 14 & 21), each from 9 am–noon. Each participant in the class will build their own four legged foot stool using only hand tools. Students will use saws, chisels, square, compass, brace, hammer and smooth plane. $150. The cost of materials is included in the fee for each of these workshops but students are required to bring their own tape ruler and #2 pencil. facebook.com/thewbrm.
