Area camellia societies collaborate with the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuge and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to present the Bayou Gardens Open House at the Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuge. Experts will be on hand to offer their, well, expertise, and visitors can take in guided walks throughout the property, a plant sale, and presentations on camellia history, grafting, and cultivation. Free admission. 9 am–3 pm at 61389 Hwy 434. (985) 882-2000.
