Bernstein’s Psalms and Einstein’s Favorites
St. John’s Cathedral 515 Cathedral Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70501
Einstein, a passionate lover of classical music and amateur violinist, loved Mozart. His theory of special relativity, first published in 1905, coincides with the same year Elgar created one of his most famous string compositions. The UL Lafayette Chorale along with UL Lafayette Chamber Singers present a classical concert featuring compositions from Mozart, Elgar, and Bernstein presented in an intimate environment dedicated to one of the greatest minds of the twentieth century. Directed by William Plumber. 515 Cathedral Street. $35. 7 pm. acadianasymphony.org or (337) 232-4277, ext. 1.
