For tonight's After Hours event, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art will screen Bill Traylor: Chasing Ghosts. The film follows the life of the iconic African American artist Bill Traylor, documenting the struggles he faced in an era that legally saw him as less-than. Today he is one of America's most prominent artists, and his works are exhibited in museums and collections worldwide, including the current exhibit at Ogden, Vernacular Voices. The film will be preceded by a discussion from Leslie Umberger, Curator of Folk and Self-Taught Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and proceeded by a Q&A moderated by Ogden Museum Curator Bradley Sumrall, Umberger, and Jeffrey Wolf, the film's director, producer, and editor 6 pm. $13.50; $6.75 for children; $11 for seniors, students, military members, and teachers. ogdenmuseum.org.
