In an exhibit that reflects on the weighty idea of “language” through a diverse range of media from books to silent film to ashes to musical scores, the New Orleans Museum of Art welcomes ten international contemporary artists to its galleries. Bodies of Knowledge proposes new ways of experiencing and studying how language has shaped our collective histories, and how it might shape our futures—hopefully for the better. Artists included are: Manon Bellet, Wafaa Bilal, Garrett Bradley, Adriana Corral, Mahmoud Chouki, Zhang Huan, William Kentridege, Shirin Neshat, Edward Spots, and Wilmer Wilson IV.
