Coastal Shrine BBQ Festival
SugArena & Acadiana Fairgrounds 713 NW Bypass (Higway 3212), New Iberia, Louisiana
At 8 am, alarms will sound throughout New Iberia's SugArena, announcing the official lighting of fires for the Coastal Shrine BBQ Festival. Each team will carve up their best in categories of chicken, St. Louis ribs, brisket, and burnt ends.
Vendors will be on site offering an array of local crafts, farm-to-table items, and goodies from 10 am–3 pm. A fais do-do with Richard LeBouef & TwoStep will start at 2 pm.
Teams will serve attendees from 5 pm–8 pm, winners will be announced at 7 pm. $15; $5 for children ages 5–11; active duty and children younger than 5 get in free. Funds will go towards community efforts by the Coastal Shrine Club of Jefferson Island. iberiatravel.com.
