Jeanerette Museum's first history talk of the spring will focus on the coexistence of the Acadians, Malaguenos, and Islenos in the area. Genealogy enthusiast Rogers Romero will lead the discussion, addressing how each population came to North America and Louisiana and describing each of the four governors who governed Louisiana prior to the American Revolution. Discussion will include land grants received by early settlers, Spanish settlers who arrived in New Iberia and more. 6 pm at the museum. Free, though seating may be limited. jeanerettemuseum.com.
