February Films at the Manship

Leave the X-Men to the megaplex. Each month, the Manship Theatre offers a slate of films, from modern classics to engaging new documentaries. Here's what's in store for February:
February 1 & 6: Burning (2018): This Korean psychological thriller involves greenhouse burning and cat-sitting, and was on the shortlist for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Will be screened in Korean with English subtitles. 7 pm; $9.50.
February 7: At Eternity's Gate (2018): A peek into the life of the prolific painter Vincent van Gogh during his time in Arles and Auvers-sur-Oise, France. 7 pm; $9.50.
February 10: 2019 Oscar Nominated Shorts. See some of the best short films of the year, right on the Manship screen. Animated short film nominees begin at 2 pm. Live Action short films begin at 4:30 pm. $9.50 for each viewing; $16.50 package price, which includes entry into the Documentary short film nominees on February 22.
February 15: Spoof Night! Febru-Swayze Valentine's Special. An interactive movie experience led by the Family Dinner Comedy Troupe—with a spotlight on the schwazzy Schwayze man himself. 7:30 pm. $11.
February 21: Aquila Theatre Presents: Frankenstein: In this thrilling stage adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic, we once again ask the question: Just because it can be done, should it? 7:30 pm. $25–45.
February 22: 2019 Oscar Shorts: Documentary. View some of the best short docs of the year, right on the Manship screen. 7 pm. $9.50; $16.50 package price, which includes entry into the Animated and Live Action short films on February 10.
