Footloose

Based on the 1984 movie by the same name, Footloose the musical tells the story of Ren McCormack, a young teenager who, under circumstances beyond his control, moves from the big city to a small town in middle America. He finds that the local town has a ban on dancing and rock and roll, imposed by the local minister, but determined to have a real senior prom, he encourages the town’s youth to defy this ban and, at the same time, falls for the pastor’s daughter. 7:30 pm Thursday‒Saturday; 2 pm Sundays. $20. 7155 Florida Boulevard. theatrebr.org.
