If you're planning a weekend getaway to the outdoor fun of the Mississippi coast, here are some option for you to take in some fireworks and celebrate the holiday Gulf Coast style.

Ocean Springs

Ocean Springs Fireworks Show: July 4, Fireworks from the front beach of Fort Maurepas park; bring blankets, chairs, and a competitive spirit for the volleyball court. 7 pm–9:30 pm. 228-875-6722 or gulfcoast.org. 

Pascagoula

4th of July Celebration: July 4, Free fireworks at Beach Park, synced up to patriotic music on Magic 93.7FM. (228) 938-2356 or gulfcoast.org. 

Biloxi and Gulfport

4th of July Fireworks Cruise: July 4, Watch the day's spectacle from the water, on a two hour sunset cruise traveling along the shoreline of the Gulf. Entertainment will be provided by Tri-Star Sound and food, soft drinks, wine, and beer will be available for purchase. Biloxi boat departs from Margaritaville Resort Hotel and Gulfport boat departs from Jones Park Yacht Harbor. Boarding begins at 7 pm. Get more information and reserve your spot at msshipisland.com. 

Fireworks in Biloxi: July 4, Eighteen minutes of wonder set for 9 pm off of Biloxi's coastline, viewable from the lighthouse eastward to the Biloxi Bay Bridge. gulfcoast.org. 

Fireworks in Gulfport: July 4, Shot from the Moses Jetty, fireworks will light the sky starting at 8:45 pm with viewing areas from Jones Park, the Gulfport Marina, and the beach south of 90. gulfcoast.org.

Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo: July 4–7, The annual rodeo always gives an ode to the fourth with a bang of a fireworks display at the Gulfport Harbor in Jones Park, but the four-day festival features live music, karaoke, kids events, a midway, and more, mississippideepseafishingrodeo.com.
