Land-O-Pines Campground 17145 Million Dollar Road, Louisiana 70435
'Round the campfire is a common site to share your spooky tales, and with that in mind, Land-O-Pines has a slate of weekend activities planned for the month ahead should you pop your tent in their environs.
• September 28—30: Kiddie Halloween Carnival isn't too frightful, the campground promises. Promising to be "bigger and better" in 2018, families camping out can anticipate a candy hunt, trick-or-treating, costume and coloring contests, hayrides, and bingo, too.
• October 5—7: Superheroes and Villains Halloween calls for costume contests, trick or treating, DJ, superhero bingo, and silly string wars.
• October 12—14: Day of the Dead Halloween Fest puts traditions such as sugar skull painting at the forefront with sugar skull costume contest, pumpkin decorating contest, scavenger hunt, bingo, and more.
• October 19—21: Pre-Halloween brings the Great Pumpkin Slingshot Hurl—whether you're envisioning Cinderella fleeing the ball or a sight more macabre—campsite and haunted house contests, and trick-or-treating too.
• October 26—28: Halloween is here at last! (Well, almost.) Featuring the brand new Great Pumpkin Slingshot Hurl (putting those already decorated jack-o-lanterns to good use), a live band, and a whole lot more, too.
