Natchez International Crepe Myrtle Festival

In a city plump with beauty, the crepe myrtles are still a standout. Now here comes the inaugural Natchez International Crepe Myrtle Festival to raise a proper hoopla about them. The festivities begin Friday with a downtown open container Crepe Crawl (you may also walk) with stops at Natchez Coffee Co., Charboneau Distillery, Kings Tavern, The Guest House, and more—all featuring exclusive food and drink deals. Tickets to the Crawl are $20 a couple, and can be purchased at bontempstix.com. 

Saturday brings a gathering with Master Gardeners at the Natchez Farmers Market as well as a crepe myrtle sale, followed by free lectures at the Natchez Historic Foundation covering the history and proper maintenance of the tree, a self-guided tour of the city's most splendid blooms, and a book signing. visitnatchez.org/events.
