Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival
to
The MAX Museum 2155 Front Street, Meridian, Mississippi 39301
Celebrate one of America's most iconic yodelers in Meridian for the Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival—a rousing weekend-long tribute to "The Father of Country Music." For over sixty years, regional and international fans have gathered to enjoy live performances by renowned music artists of a diverse array of genres.
This year, the jams kick off Thursday night with Saint Paul and the Broken Bones at the MAX museum. Then on to the gala Friday evening with returning musical artist, The Compositionz. Saturday, festival-goers will get the chance to belt out their own American legacy at the annual Jimmie Rodgers Talent Competition at Singing Brakeman Park—followed up by an opening performance by Nashville artist Paul Burch at the Temple Theatre. The festival will close out with a performance by Meridian's own Steve Forbert, an inductee into the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame and Grammy Nominated Jimmie Rodgers tribute singer.
