Celebrating the centennial of women's suffrage in America, the Louisiana Old State Capitol presents the exhibition Louisiana Lionhearted Ladies: Championing the Right to Vote. The show explores the history of our state in the fight for women's suffrage, including the ways the civil rights movement impacted it and the fact that the state ultimately chose not to vote for the 19th amendment.
