Mary Ann Caffery specializes in light—manipulating it as a mechanism of transmission, reflection, and absorption. Her colorful works of stained glass, mosaics, and sculpture have made appearances in museums in Japan, Germany, and in the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and the Lafayette Regional Airport, not ot mention the 2nd District Police Headquarters in New Orleans. Caffery has studied art and design all over the world, and is currently a retired adjunct faculty member in the Interior Design Department at LSU, where she teaches Color Theory and Graphics. She is also the artistic director of the Caffery Gallery in Baton Rouge.
Her work will be on display at the Baton Rouge Gallery from July 2–August 1. batonrougegallery.org.
