Matthew Gurnsey, "The Kilted Man"
to
Baton Rouge, La Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70808
Traditional Irish and Scottish music will ring through the library rafters with this performance by "The Kilted Man," who combines wit, finesse, and a stirringly rich bass voice. Gurnsey dons a kilt and sweeps audiences into tales of wayward voyages, unrequited love, and the vibrantly colorful lives of the Celts. His unique talents with traditional Celtic instruments, such as the bones, mandolin, concertina, and bodhran, add authenticity to each piece. He will perform three free concerts over two days:
• March 4: 11 am–noon at the Main Library at Goodwood
• March 4: 2 pm–3 pm at Delmont Gardens Branch
• March 5: 3 pm–4 pm at Jones Creek Regional Branch
