While most museums will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the West Baton Rouge Museum has chosen to open from 10 am–4:30 pm as place for families to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King. With free admission on this special day, the public is invited to tour the traveling exhibit from Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, For All the World to See: Visual Culture and the Struggle for Civil Rights, which examines the role that visual culture played in the civil rights movement. westbatonrougemuseum.com.
