At the Paragon Casino Resort tonight, see actress and R&B singer/songwriter Monica Denise Brown, known for her global bestselling albums The Boy Is Mine (1998), After the Storm (2003), Makings of Me (2006), and Still Standing (2010). With her gospel roots and rich, strong vocals, she remains an icon of 90's and early 2000's (the golden age) R&B. If you're unfamiliar with her sound though, you might recognize her face from shows like New York Undercover, Beverly Hills,90210, The Voice, and more. Most recently, her ballad "Be Human" introduced her new nonprofit, The Be Human Foundation, an organization devoted to using music and messaging to break down barriers and improve lives of oppressed and disadvantaged communities worldwide.
