Agnes Courville is many things. She's a fierce advocate for animal rights, for civil rights, and for the environment. A zydeco kicker-up-of-heels and a French Immersion teacher in Louisiana for over eighteen years. But she is not a native of Acadiana. Originally from Lyon, France, Courville has adopted this place and driven it deeply into her cultural identity.
