Nanci Charpentier at Backwoods Gallery

Baton Rouge artist Nanci Charpentier has been delving into gouache. The self-taught, primarily oil painter has spent the last year exploring the possibilities of this new medium through plein air and studio pieces focused on community landscapes and flora. This recent body of work has been juried and included in several national exhibitions over the past year, including FW Gallery, the River Road 50th Anniversary exhibition, Plein Air Painting in the Garden, and RW Norton's "Bloom" Exhibition. She was also named the Emerging Artist Finalist for the Art Muse Contest.
