Head to Bayou Lacombe Museum to kick off Native American Heritage Month with a three-day celebration. On Friday, La Toussaint, head to Buchokwa Garden for blessings at the Hilltop Cemetery, followed by food, music, and celebrating the lives of our ancestors. Saturday will feature local crafts, presentations, and educational discussions about indigenous plant life of Bayou Lacombe. The last day is titled Heritage Exploration Day, during which a panel discussion will ask the question “Where are Bayou Lacombe Choctaw Today?” once more.
