November 9: Honoring Native American Veterans—Chief Cheryl Smith and the Jena Band Choctaw join the museum in a salute to Native American veterans. The day begins with a blessing by the Louisiana Choctaw tribal princess followed by firsthand accounts from veterans. Traditional native refreshments will be served.
November 16: Choctaw Dance and Stickball—Choctaw heritage in Bayou Lacombe runs deep. Celebrate with ancient songs, dances, and traditions led by Dan Issac and his Mississippi Choctaw dancers. Then, get the feel of America's oldest field sport ... stickball! Refreshments included.
November 23: Father Rouquette Day—Remember the life and times of one of Louisiana's most enduring icons, Fr. Adrien Rouquette.
