"Number One" Screening

The 1969 film Number One tells the touching story of an aging quarterback, played by Charlton Heston, struggling to come to terms with the end of his career. In conjunction with the exhibition Crescent City Sport: Stories of Courage and Change, the Historic New Orleans Collection will present a screening of the film at its location on Chartres Street. Archie Manning, Saints quarterback from 1971–1982, will introduce the film and reflect on his memorable career with the team. 6 pm. $10; $5 for THNOC members; free for members of THNOC's Caillot Circle, Mahalia Jackson Laussat Society, and Bienville Circle members. hnoc.org.
