West Baton Rouge Museum 845 North Jefferson Avenue, Port Allen, Louisiana 70767
A new Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at LSU course celebrates Movement in Art and Music at West Baton Rouge Museum, exploring both the Square Collection exhibit and the museum's new permanent installation, the Juke Joint.
Through a series of six classes taking place on February 18, 25, March 11, 18, 25, and April 1, registered participants will experience exhibit tours, performances by dancers and musicians, artists demonstrations, and lectures by art collectors and historians.. The course will culminate with an opportunity to create a piece of art to keep that incorporates an expressive form of movement.
This program is open to OLLI members. Space is limited, and tuition is charged. To register for this program, participants must first become a member of OLLI and sign up for the course at outreach.lsu.edu?Enrichment?OLLI-at-LSU or (225) 578-2500.
