A new exhibition pays tribute to jazz clarinetist Pete Fountain. Pete Fountain: A Life Half-Fast presents a wide range of artifacts (including the wax figure from the now closed Musée Conti Wax Museum) to provide a personal, humorous recollection of the beloved musician and "quintessential New Orleanian."
The New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Old U.S. Mint is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is closed Sundays, Mondays and state holidays. LouisianaStateMuseum.org.
