Pitch Dark

What do you see, when you embrace the dark? In a new collaboration between New Orleans Airlift and songwriter/storyteller Kelly Love Jones, the performance series Pitch Dark draws its audiences into the art of adaptation through sightlessness—revealing the bounds of imagination and entry into hidden realms of reality.
Made possible through a grant from the Jazz and Heritage Foundation, the show incorporates intertwining experiences of spellbinding songs, delectable foods, dance, spoken word, storytelling, drumming, "sensory enhancements" and a few surprises too. Immerse yourself in darkness, and let the cast lead you back out again for a shared meal under the stars in the Music Box Village, prepared by Vegan Chef NOLA"s Lakeba Angelle.
Performances will be held on Thursdays from March 21–April 18 at 7 pm–9:30 pm. $48–$58. musicboxvillage.com.
