Pointe Coupee Live Oak Tour

The Pointe Coupee Historical Society invites tree enthusisats to "Explore Pointe Coupee History Down to the Roots." This tour of notable and historic live oaks tour will begin at the Poydras Museum, where the public is invited to start anytime between 8:30 am and 9:30 am to check in and enjoy light morning refreshments at the Lejuene House, home of the Francois Samson Oak.  Participants will continue to navigate around False River and onto the Island to view another nine named trees; stop and take pictures, ask questions to hosts of the tour, or simply drive by and admire the beauty of the oaks. The tour ends at the home of Greg Eaton, where tree fans can enjoy both the Smithhaven Oak and refreshments and cocktails.  Check-in between 8: 30 am–9 am.
