Taking parade "floats" more literally than usual is BREC's annual Pumpkin Paddle Parade and "float" decorating contest. Design and decorate a canoe, kayak, or paddle board with Halloween flare, and join the parade paddle along Wilford Wampold Memorial Park's University Lake. Judges will select the "best dressed" floats, and fantastic prizes will be awarded to the winners. No kayak? No problem: BREC Outdoor Adventure crew will happily supply you with a kayak or paddle board for just $10. 5:30–7:30 pm. brec.org/outdooradventure.
