Red Carpet Premiere: A Lot Like Christmas

 Jumpstart the Christmas season with a romantic comedy about family, forgiveness and, of course, Christmas. City Church Films will host the red carpet premiere of its first romantic comedy, A Lot Like Christmas. After not seeing his family for over seven years, PJ (Johnathan Robinson) gets talked into going home to New Orleans for Christmas by his co-workers. There, he’s confronted with a surprise: his father, who left when he was a child, has returned to reconcile with his family. PJ tries to leave, but all flights are booked and his car battery mysteriously disappears, so he’s forced to stay. He reconnects with his high school sweetheart, Rebecca, (Jessica Legaux) and, after having a fight with his father, is reminded of the importance of love and forgiveness. Only then does his perspective change and he embrace second chances at life. The 90-minute independent film was shot entirely in New Orleans and features an entirely local cast and crew. $10. 7 pm.
