Joe McGill will bring the Slave Dwelling Project to Natchez. The Slave Dwelling Project is a nationally known initiative to preserve slave dwellings and bring attention to the stories of the enslaved. Joe will spend the night in a slave cabin at Melrose, part of the Natchez National Historical Park. Due to COVID-19, the event will be virtual only. Joe will broadcast from the site and hold a campfire discussion over Zoom. This event is funded by the Mississippi Humanities Council. More information available at slavedwellingproject.org.
