Solar Viewing Saturday

At high noon, head to BREC's Highland Road Park Observatory to squint at the sun in three different ways: image transferred onto a white surface; directly with safely-filtered optical light; and directly with the observatory's Coronoda Sola Max II hydrogen-alpha telescope. With this technology, visitors will be able to spot any sizable sunspots or flares occurring. Fingers crossed for sunny skies, because this program proceeds weather permitting. Noon–2 pm.
