TaWaSi Antiques & Collectibles Show
to
Warren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium 310 North Canal Boulevard, Thibodaux, Louisiana 70302
Outstanding dealers from throughout the South come to this indoor, air-conditioned facility to display antiques and collectibles for tchotchke-hungry shoppers. It's a dream-world of antique furniture, estate and costume jewelry, books, linens, dolls, papers, silver, glass, porcelain. And if you're feeling a bit cracked, glass repair and restoration also available. Nicholas Catering will be on site for lunch with their famous Cajun fare, beverages, and desserts at the Little Café; also look forward to drawings for door prizes.
The event's name, "TaWaSi" is Indian for "friend and helper," enshrining the spirit of the event's organizers, who have contributed over $500,000 to community projects and scholarships since the first antiques show in 1975. This year's proceeds will be donated to community projects including an endowed scholarship for selected graduate students, a scholarship to the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute, and an endowed scholarship at Nicholls State University. Friday and Saturday 10 am–5 pm; Sunday 10 am–4 pm. $10 for all three days through Eventbrite.com or at the door. tawasi.net.
