The Golden Anniversary: Treasures from the Collection

The West Baton Rouge Museum is pleased to announce a new exhibition celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the West Baton Rouge Historical Association which founded the West Baton Rouge Museum. The exhibit will showcase the wide variety of artifacts found in the permanent collection, many of which have never been on public display before. The permanent collection currently contains over 10,000 artifacts that span centuries of West Baton Rouge history, and the museum has grown from its original home in the old vault of the parish courthouse to a six-acre campus with eight historic structures that represent life on area sugar plantations.
