For over thirty years, Memphis College of Art students have embarked on a series of 12-day boat excursions to Horn Island, Walter Anderson's famous muse. In honor of the 35th annual MCA Horn Island trip to be held this year, The Sound and the Gulf dwells retrospectively on the art that this wilderness landscape has inspired in Anderson and his modern-day acolytes.
