In the New Orleans Museum of Art's exhibition, Lamentations, photographer Tina Freeman's diptychs bring together sceneries of two regions most severely impacted by climate change in the world—and one is very, very close to home.
In unexpected and startling pairings, images of the melting Arctic are placed beside Louisiana's rising sea levels and disappearing coastlines—showing an uncommon, and undeniable relationship between the two.
The exhibition will be on display from September 13, 2019–October 11, 2020. noma.org.
