Walter Anderson's creative legacy has been an influential force throughout the Gulf Coast region for decades, but will come to an emphasis in time for his 116th birthday this fall for the first ever Walter Anderson Weekend, put on by the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. Featuring free museum admission, special weekend hours (9 am–5 pm Saturday, noon–5 pm Sunday), a Saturday block party in the streets of Ocean Springs, and two concerts by Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars.
