In her fifth solo exhibition at Callan Contemporary, Key-Sook Geum debuts a suite of magically delicate conceptual sculptures intimating forms of traditional Korean garments and haute couture. Meticulously crafted from silk gauze, faceted beads, crystals, coral, and semiprecious stones, all interwoven with red, black, and silver wire—Geum's works play with light and shadow, with movement and breath, and with space and its absence.
Wind and Whisper will be on display from August 1–September 22, with an opening reception in conjunction with White Linen Night on August 3.
