The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum presents Dr. Randall Keator II, who will share the stories of his father, Second Lieutenant Randall Keator's, life and career in World War II. From Campti, Louisiana, Keator became a national hero for his service and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. He is commemorated in the museum's exhibition "The Pelican State Goes to war: Louisiana in World War II" for his time in the Philippines.
The museum also invites guests to share their memories of World War II, whether it be stories of their relatives who served or childhood recollections of the Louisiana Maneuvers that took place in the area. This event is free and open to the public. louisianastatemuseum.org.
