RV travelers will be pleased to hear that there’s a new (sort of) place to park and play in Iberia Parish—the former Cajun RVera RV resort has had a facelift! Now under the management of the Iberia Parish Parks and Recreation Department and renamed Isle of Iberia RV Resort, the property has undergone renovation and cleanup, including the planting of palm trees and crepe myrtles to add both natural beauty and, more practically, welcome shade. Come visit for a getaway that combines the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of plumbing and air conditioning. There’s a pool and a lazy river, and the property is convenient to all the attractions of New Iberia and the wider region. This is a great home base for your exploration of Acadiana or a great place to sit around for some good old-fashioned rest and relaxation.
The first official event at the renovated Isle of Iberia will be the Grand Re-Opening, April 7—9, featuring food, music, and fun. A heavy lineup of great bands will begin at 10 am Saturday, including local favorite Side Show and a special mystery guest! If you can’t make the festivities, you’ll be able to hear the music on a live radio remote stream from 10 am to 2 pm. This is just the first in a series of events planned to take place at this spruced-up local resort, so check back in regularly to see what’s coming up.
