The newest property, AC Hotel Jackson-Ridgeland, is a sleek Marriott property located at the Township at Colony Park. The AC Lounge has become a hangout hot spot for its cozy patio and hospitable staff serving up specialty cocktails and seasonal small plates. Numerous other hotel options, including Hyatt Place, Embassy Suites, Wingate by Wyndham, and Hampton Inn & Suites ensure that the city’s popular retail and dining spots all remain within easy reach.

In addition to Jackson Street and the recently renovated Northpark indoor shopping mall, the shaded walks of Renaissance at Colony Park and Township at Colony Park entice visitors to explore each locally owned and big box shop along the way. Sample fine oils and balsamics at J. Olive Company, then wander the brick paved roads of the Renaissance to visit specialty gift stores, clothing boutiques, and sportswear outfitters. At Magnolia Soap and Bath Co., sniff seasonal and southern-inspired scents of in the form of bath products, laundry soaps, and home sprays and candles. Plan ahead for a small group party to make your own bath bombs and soap or pour your own candles.

It is peak season for a home and garden refresh from one of Ridgeland’s outdoor specialty stores. Begin at Martinson’s Garden Works and navigate the indoor plant atrium, sunroom gift shop, and outdoor nursery lined with plants, pottery, soils and containers for every taste and style. Gardeners return to Martinson’s year after year for the colorful flowers, trees and shrubs tended by the passionate plant enthusiasts. Plentiful rows of home grown produce, fruit, outdoor goods, and plants await at Freshway Produce. Explore the nursery and you may find locally sourced jams, spices, and more to stock the pantry, too.   

Green Oak’s Ridgeland location is a horticulturally based retail and service company with a retail storefront consisting of a gift shop, full-service florist, and full-service garden center. Ridgeland’s newest unique garden shoppe is Boxwood, where customers can shop for plants, garden accessories, and garden inspired treasures and gifts from around the world. If garden lovers just can’t get enough, visitors my catch the Ridgeland Wildflower Field in bloom in the late summer and early fall months.
