Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 ¼ cups oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups mashed yams
1 cup chopped pecans
[A yam is the same as a sweet potato, right? Not quite.]
Instructions
Sift flour with soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix together sugar and oil. Beat in eggs and vanilla, then add dry ingredients, mashed yams, and pecans. Bake in greased bundt pan for an hour and 15 minutes at 350° F. Cool cake and ice.
Icing
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
1 stick butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions
Beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and nuts. Mix thoroughly.
