Zabaglione with Fresh Strawberries
Considered to be the favorite dessert of Salvatore Lucania, aka “Lucky Luciano” whenever he dined at La Louisiane.
6 Egg Yolks
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Cup White Wine
Fresh Strawberries
1 Tbsp. Confectioner's Sugar
Fresh Mint
Considered to be the favorite dessert of Salvatore Lucania, aka “Lucky Luciano” whenever he dined at La Louisiane.
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar until smooth, then add the wine.
- Continue beating in a double bowl in a pan of boiling water until cream thickens.
- Pour into dessert bowls and add fresh strawberries that have been coated lightly with confectioner’s sugar. Add a few springs of fresh mint. Serve.
