Our Treasure, Sarah Fergus
Each year, the Elizabethan Gallery hosts its annual show and sale of new works by artist members of the Associated Women in the Arts. Since this year marks Baton Rouge's bicentennial, it's an easy choice for these talented female artists to theme their work around "200 Years of the Red Stick." The show features work by over thirty artists, that capture local landscapes, historic buildings and architecture, and notable events from the past two centuries. Opening August 24, during A Mid City Night's Dream, with a meet-the-artists reception, 5 pm–8 pm. On view until September 30, with a closing reception doing double duty to honor the Elizabethan Gallery's thirtieth anniversary. Lots to see and celebrate—more details at lizgalry@bellsouth.net or (225) 924-6437.
