2019 Louisiana Smart Growth Summit

The 14th annual Louisiana Smart Growth Summit welcomes national and local experts and innovators ready to share their ideas and solutions for the unique challenges faced by Louisianans—such as blight, flood risk, health disparities, and inequitable land uses—as we work together to build the Louisiana cities, towns, and places of the future. This year's summit, taking place at the Manship Theatre, will focus on "Rethinking Community: Smart Growth at Every Scale." Topics will include: 

• how placemaking pays off in small towns 
• street design as a community tool 
• preparing communities for climate change
• equity in transportation, housing policy, and public health 
• the value of green infrastructure
