50 Years of Jim Jeansonne
Firehouse Gallery 427 Laurel Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70801
A life-long resident of Louisiana, Jim Jeansonne has spent a lifetime transforming his fascination with local wildlife and culture into beautiful sculptures, prints, and other artwork. The Arts Council of Greater of Baton Rouge is celebrating Jeansonne's 50 years of contributions to the arts in Louisiana with a reception and raffle of one of Jeansonne's prints.
The Council is also hosting a more hands-on event on June 20, where adults and children both can join the artist for a demonstration on relief printmaking and wood block carving. Both events are free and open to the public.
