Christmas in the Country - Complete Event Schedule
As much creative community fun as you can wrap a string of Christmas lights around
Beginning right after Thanksgiving, owners of historic homes throughout St. Francisville's pretty historic district get busy stapling white lights to windows, doors, gallery posts, shrubbery, yard ornaments, unsuspecting tourists, and any other architectural features within ladder's reach. All weekend, expect community choirs, historic homes to peep into, fresh Christmas wreaths for sale, holiday fun and games for kids, downtown entertainment, shopping specials, and other jolly good fun. Audubon State Historic Site hosts interpretive Christmastime programming on Saturday too, so leave time to swing by. Here's the complete schedule. For more information call the Tourist Commission at (225) 635-4224.
